Roadtrip 2022 Spring: Seaside - Bend - Boise - Park City - Grand Junction - Park City - Boise - Richland

Day 32 - Wind Day, Grand Junction

The Grand Elks Lodge, where the time is always 11:00. We're not sure AM or PM, and nobody will tell us.

The World Famous Skeleton of Bikosaurus Rex. She is supposed to be 505 million years old, but we don't get how she is riding "Specialized".

Hands down winning pizza - probably the best in town - have sampled their wares X2 now!

Ella partakes in some very serious GJ "town hounding".

Ahhh - could some of that be for me? Mmmmmmm - sorry El - not this time.

In a town where there seems to be more bike shops than citizens, it's hard for Ella not to shop for a new bell.

The Renewed Topographics: Grand Junction, town centre, May 2022.

Always have a rubber ducky close at hand.

Russ poses with his newest friend - author and screenwriter James Dalton Trumbo. A GJ art legend.

The core of town.

We saw this Japanese firetruck racing around town last week and thought he was serious.

A wonderful courtyard space for the participants of a unique art program - and unique fitness classes to spill out onto.

Grand Junction's Main St is full of really creative markers to translate the town history. Makes it well worth a wander.

That layer of grey haze is wind blown dust. Winds today were steady at 25mph and gusted up to 50mph. Also gave us a good reason to stay close to base, eat pizza and ice cream - and stroll the town.
